our french holiday

After couple of days washing and generally doing boring housework I finally found the time to blog about our holiday. We went to France to be with our friends for nine days. It was great. They live in South West of France and their family owns a huge farm with couple of gites. They rent them out as holiday homes so we had one for ourselves. It's fantastic house with four huge bedrooms, living space , big garden and private swimming pool. It was hot all week. Very very hot..but the main reason for us to be there was their wedding !!! Big long French wedding. I mean very long..:) the dinner started at 9.30pm, the main course was served at 0.30am and the dessert half past 2 in the morning :). But no complain at all. It was fantastic to be part of it. We had great fun. This is the house and our bedroom.

The swimming pool. It was hot hot hot... But why does the weather has to be so rubbish every time I come back from holiday ??? is it just me ?

The market. The quality of food is fantastic. I really envy that. I would love to have the possibility to buy local fresh fruit and veg on my doorstep.

back home...

We are back from holiday. It was lovely 9 days full of sun, water and long evenings. Just checked my emails, quick look at favorites websites and my blog. Between uploading my pictures, washing and ironing clothes...again...posting couple of my favorite images from SkonaHem. I just love the Scandinavian light and whites......

good morning Saturday...

We all ready for holiday. Five packed cases are waiting in a hallway. Still going to my Saturday job tomorrow...but then Sunday morning we are off to France for nine days. Yeeee. For rest of you who can lie in tomorrow have a lovely lazy morning.

things have been moving

Around the house...Instead of ironing huge pile of clothes I have been moving things around the house. We got back from holiday with 3 huge cases full of dirty clothes, it's been all washed and waiting for me. Huf...I love moving furniture and bits around the house. I should go back to work ( my husband's words)...you are too much at home. 

I bought this cushion in Debenhams and it is from designer Ben de Lisi. It was £15 and it's got lovely detailed embroidery. The red cross one is my design.

New living room corner. The pink cushion and throw was in a bedroom.

The kitchen. I made the polka dot, green and alphabet cushions a while ago.

So back to reality. Ironing is waiting and real life as well.

we gone home.....

We returned home after two weeks with my family. I always feel sad leaving my parents. I wish they would live close by and I can visit them any time...hm...Stop being melancholic Veronika ! We are going for another holiday on Sunday. This time to spend week with our friends and to be at their wedding as well ! Yippee !

I have been getting ready for a holiday. We going to be away for couple of weeks, so I haven't started any projects. I have far too many in my head. So just something inspirational...I found these photos on Living etc. website. Karren Harison's house in Sussex is exactly my taste. Beautiful combination of white, grey, wood and unique furniture and art pieces. VERY VERY nice. Wouldn't you want to live there too ?

I wanted to share couple images from my favorite company Kids Love Design. This company is based in France and has wonderful selection of modern and stylish products. This is Loom. It comes in 7 different fabrics and you can use it as a climbing toy, decoration, seat....

Little flat pack furniture for children, which they can put together themselves. Mini cuter Ikea.

This is a great idea. Bird house, hand- made oak night light. And the vintage paper leaves are nice too..

This map is huge. 3 x 4 m and comes in limited edition of 100 per year and is signed by the artist. What a great edition to boys bedroom. Have a look at their website, they have some amazing pieces for children.

We are going to France to see our friends in couple of weeks. I went to their place in May with A. This is my small remainder.

new velvet friend

Green, green and green. This is my and A. new reading chair. I would like to have this chair reupholstered in natural linen but for now is this original color. I made a cushion to go with it. This velvet thing cost me £ 50 in my local antiques. It's in perfect condition, I just can't get used to that color. Not sure if I really like it or not. What about you ??
