work in progress

I moved to another room. Decorating. Old wallpaper and picture rail went down, lovely plaster uncovered. I'm planning to change blinds, paint walls, probably quite dark colour and maybe leave bare plaster behind our bed? what do you think? The wall with drawings on will be painted, some of them were there before, and Anya really enjoys adding more. I'm in no rush decorating, quite enjoy the room as it is now and thinking about creating dark cozy bedroom...

  2. Love the bare plaster idea! Did the same in our house recently. After removing the wallpaper we found bits of old paint, some dating back to the first coat in 1947! Had to keep it...smoothed it out a bit with a thin wash of watery paint and it now is a real statement. I adore it...although some people don´t get it and think it is not done yet

  5. The walls are perfect as they are now! Unfortunately such walls aren't possible in my old renovated house: only plasterboards :(

  6. The unplastered walls are such a fantastically warm shade of grey - you are lucky. So why not leave them as they are, in looks gorgeous, from your splashes of yellow and pink to the wonderful drawings on the wall.

  9. I actually do not mind the walls are they are right now, although the yellow color is very tempting as well, I am into greys and yellows.
