Last year I have decided to start adding other designers to our shop. The first of them is called appropriately - The First Snow. They make wonderful items for weddings, painted cake toppers, posters, table numbers and custom wedding signs. I fell in love with their handmade, hand painted style, pretty details and colours. We now stock some of their items and I'm so happy! They are truly lovely and would finish any wedding perfectly. all available in our shop now - head over here

simple but perfect

I strongly believe that simple ideas are the best. But what makes them stand out are the thoughts behind and attention to details.
And this is perfect example. I had this article from Brooklyn Bride bookmarked for over a year now and might have shared with you some the photos already, but I keep going back to them and can't stop admiring the attention to details and the simple idea of the whole setting. People who decorated this afterparty used found recycled papers and wood. Everything is simply covered in white sheets of paper and with clever use of lighting it just looks so serene, sophisticated and classy. Amazing job.

I normally prefer white when it comes to a wedding dress, but this cream one looks so divine. I also like the ideas of using leaves as seating cards, having a silhouette done just in minutes for entreating guests, sending invitation in a bottle and planting seeds for wedding favours. All pretty in cream and beige.

if I was getting married....11. (and about pink)

I don't give special meaning to colours and I treat pink as another shade not an attitude and style of life. Of course too much pink could be sickening, but to me so as bright orange on kids and dark green next my face.
So yes I do like pink, I wear it sometimes and don't have much of it at home, but I don't mind if my daughter occasionally put it on ( although she is actually not that bothered any more:). I don't believe that moderated pink in her life is going to change her into a sweet princess. Of course there are other things as characters on TV and books which are associated with all this talk, but that's completely another story....

So this time, I'm getting married and bathing in pink sweet bubble  of iced coffee, rum, peach and cream....but tastefully:)

It seems to me that I have been wearing blue breton stripes all my life, and even the nautical theme might not be so in at the moment I love the idea of getting married by the sea, honeymooning on a boat and having everything sort of  a bit old and classy. If only I wasn't sick on a boat after 10 minutes:)

UntitledDSC_0028I promised you last week I show you how to make pom poms. Incredibly easy and effective. I have been using them for almost three years now, birthday parties, child's rooms and every time people ask how I made them and say how much they like it. They are just really pretty...

I feel like I'm slowly becoming British and talk about weather all the time. But how awful! It's middle of June and it's cold and rainy, I saw people wearing boots and winter coats today. Just so....whatever..
So in that really grey and depressing mood and weather I love to find images like this. I saw the first photo a while ago and loved it straight away. I'm not into orange that much but who wouldn't love that dress? I certainly do. And they look so happy, relaxed...and cool. But let's not ruin a nice evening with my moaning. have a good one!...The full wedding story over here.

And have you noticed my new design? thank you so much Ana from Blog Milk.

party for A.

A. is turning 4 next week and we are throwing a party for her. Last three years we had smaller family parties or bigger barbecues, but it was more for us really. As she started preschool this year she can invite more friends and have proper kids fun. I really want to make it special for her so I have been thinking about themes and decorations. And in the end there won't any  theme as she had hard time to decide between pirates or fairies, I will stick to loads of entreating bits and pieces, and have fun with decorations.
I collected these images to be inspired by colours, which is going to be yellow, pale pink, bluey greeny colours. There is so many great ideas out there and if only I had more time, I would love make those lolly invitations, bake cloud shaped cookies, make cakes ...the list would go on.
So far I made these invitations (the last photo) and thinking about presents. Any recommendations for 4 year old girl? she is not massively into dolls, she loves creating, painting, drawing, climbing trees, reading and swimming.
